In a few weeks we will start welcoming a lot of .nz domain holders from Domains Direct, one of our sister companies. That’s because a price rise is hitting .nz domains this winter, and in times like this we can step up and help out without any downsides for you. Here at MyHost we have more pricing power, and a broader set of domain management tools, so you’ll soon see why people prefer us to Domains Direct.

The big improvements that you’ll notice are mostly thanks to our superior tech platform.

When new .nz prices hit, Domains Direct will start charging $23.50/yr (up from $21.50, excl. GST). For everyone joining us from Domains Direct, we will match that price for every .nz domain you have, even if they didn’t start out in your Domains Direct account.

As well as a special price, you’ll get all the other benefits of joining MyHost, like access to our 24/7 in-house Support Team, fuller domain management tools (including cPanel), and the option to manage Web Hosting through the same account as your domains. As sister companies, MyHost and Domains Direct are run by the same team with the same 100% local ownership. The big improvements that you’ll notice are mostly thanks to our superior tech platform.

If Domains Direct have contacted you about a migration to MyHost, we will create a new account for you and then move your domains into it. There won’t be anything technical for you to worry about. We’ll make sure that your domains keep working just like they have been, and we’ll keep your password the same, too.

Because we can’t access your payment details, you will need to add a payment method to your new MyHost account after it is open.
