Announcing the newest .au domain registrar: Us!
Australia’s domain regulator officially acknowledged our commitment to the .au domain namespace.
Near the end of 2025 we received official accreditation from the .au Domain Administration (auDA) to register .au domains.
The big news here is that we can register .au domains without going through a reseller. Ultimately, this simplifies the way we vend .au domains, and acknowledges our ongoing commitment to the Australian market.
Specialising in .au domains
No one can specialise in all the world’s ccTLD’s. At MyHost, we're committed to offering the best service that we can to Australian customers, and that includes making our .au domain offerings as strong as we can.
Obtaining .au registrar status was no simple feat. The auDA is rightfully scrupulous, and only grants accreditation to the select few vendors whose systems and operational compliance match their standards. We’re proud of this mark of our hard work and acknowledgment of our commitment to the .au namespace.
When you register domains with a registrar (like us) rather than a reseller, you've chosen a supplier that's committed to auDA's systems and processes for the long term. Getting your domains directly from a registrar is a safer long-term move, as you can trust that we know our way around the .au namespace.
What’s changed?
We changed the registrar status of existing .au domains over to us.
From your point of view, if you already had .au domains with us, nothing much should have changed. Technically speaking, this was a domain transfer, but your domains still appear in your MyHost account with the same contact information, DNS and nameserver settings. No change to renewal dates or prices, no downtime either.
If you have a domain with us and check the WHOIS lookups you’ll see us listed as “Webslice”. That’s our international brand, and indicates that the transfer all worked as intended.
Australians trust .au domains
The auDA’s very own research tells us that Aussies have higher trust in .au domains than any other TLD. A big reason for that trust is the tight set of rules that the auDA maintains.
For instance, .net.au and .com.au can only be registered by commercial and business entities within Australia. There are a variety of namespaces with similar constraints, and one of our jobs as a registrar is to uphold these rules by collecting and verifying registrant information and ensuring compliance. Regulations like this play a large role in upholding Australia’s great namespace reputation.
If you’re looking for a new .au domain, whether it’s .com.au or anything else, there’s never been a better time to register one with us.

Great customer support at MyHost. We moved from Crazy Domains to MyHost after multiple server overload issues at Crazy Domains that dropped our websites. Service has been way better at MyHost where real people give you real answers real quick. Super impressed. Package and performance seems fine but definitely a game changer to have good support. ★★★★★
Fantastic support. Good pricing ...and a control panel that just works without trying to up-sell and randomly include extra things I didn't ask for. So impressed, I'm migrating domains from a number of other providers who struggle with one or more of the above.
These guys are amazing. I've signed up for their web hosting service. I moved from Bluehost and the move has been incredibly smooth. The service is so much faster than what I had. And the customer service is 5 star! Love you guys :) and thanks! It's the perfect service for someone who knows bugger all about hosting & domains.
